  • It is recommended to wear warm clothing in the morning and light clothing during the day, as well as to use sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat to protect yourself from the sun’s radiation.
  • Lake Titicaca is located at more than 3,800 meters above sea level, so it is important to be acclimated to avoid altitude sickness. It is recommended to rest well, stay hydrated, and drink coca tea.
  • There are no ATMs or credit card services on the islands, so it is recommended to bring cash in soles for purchasing handicrafts or giving tips.
  • The inhabitants of the Uros, Amantaní, and Taquile Islands keep their traditions alive, so it is recommended to ask for permission before taking photos and to respect their customs.

 


 

Cancellation Policies

  • If the passenger cancels their reservation at least 48 hours in advance, a penalty of 50% of the total tour cost will apply.
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours prior to the start of the tour incur a 100% penalty, with no refund.

  • In case of strikes, natural disasters, or other circumstances beyond our control that prevent the tour from taking place, we will be flexible in rescheduling the visit to the most convenient date for the passenger, subject to availability.
  • If the client does not show up at the scheduled time and meeting point, it will be considered a no-show, and 100% of the paid amount will be forfeited, with no option for a refund or rescheduling.
  • By booking the tour, the passenger agrees to all the cancellation policies and terms mentioned, without exceptions.

Day 1: Uros and Amantaní Islands

  • The experience begins in Puno at 8:00 a.m. with transfer from the hotel to the port of Lake Titicaca.
  • Boat ride to the Uros Floating Islands, built with totora reeds, where visitors learn about the ancestral culture and lifestyle of the inhabitants.
  • Continuation of the journey by boat to Amantaní Island.
  • Reception by local families, who provide accommodation and hospitality in their homes.
  • Typical lunch prepared by the hosts using local products.
  • Participation in community and cultural activities alongside the residents.
  • Guided walk to explore pre-Inca ceremonial temples and enjoy lake views from the island’s highest points.
  • Overnight stay in local family homes, experiencing an authentic and enriching cultural immersion.

Day 2: Taquile Island – Return to Puno

  • Traditional breakfast prepared by the host families in Amantaní.
  • Farewell to the community and departure by boat to Taquile Island.
  • Boat ride on Lake Titicaca, enjoying the natural surroundings.
  • Arrival at Taquile and guided walk to explore the island, famous for its Andean landscapes and cultural heritage.
  • Visit to the main square and explanation of the community’s social organization.
  • Observation of the renowned handcrafted textiles, recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
  • Typical lunch at a local restaurant with lake views.
  • Return by boat to the Puno port.
  • Arrival in Puno and transfer to the hotel, concluding the tour at approximately 3:30 p.m.
