Overview

The Ruta del Sol is a road in Peru that connects Cusco and Puno, passing through Andean landscapes and archaeological sites such as Raqchi. Its highest point is La Raya, before reaching Puno, which is known for Lake Titicaca and the Uros Floating Islands.

Additional Information

  • During the journey, we will pass through high-altitude areas such as La Raya Pass (4,335 m / 14,222 ft), where the weather can be cold. It is recommended to bring warm clothing and sunscreen.
  • It is recommended to bring cash in Peruvian soles for personal purchases, snacks, souvenirs, or tips, as not all places accept credit cards.
  • At each stop, there will be a set amount of time to explore and take photos. It is important to follow the guide’s instructions to make the most of the tour and avoid delays.
  • If you are not accustomed to the altitude, it is recommended to acclimate in Cusco at least one day before the tour and to bring coca leaves or coca candies to help alleviate possible symptoms of altitude sickness.

 


 

Cancellation Policies

  • If the passenger cancels their reservation at least 48 hours in advance, a penalty of 50% of the total tour cost will apply.
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours prior to the start of the tour incur a 100% penalty, with no refund.

  • In case of strikes, natural disasters, or other circumstances beyond our control that prevent the tour from taking place, we will be flexible in rescheduling the visit to the most convenient date for the passenger, subject to availability.
  • If the client does not show up at the scheduled time and meeting point, it will be considered a no-show, and 100% of the paid amount will be forfeited, with no option for a refund or rescheduling.
  • By booking the tour, the passenger agrees to all the cancellation policies and terms mentioned, without exceptions.
