Additional Information
- It is very important that tourists are ready at the designated pick-up time, between 3:00 – 4:00 a.m. Failing to be punctual may result in missing the train or entry to Machu Picchu, due to the strict schedule regulations for both the train and access to the Inca citadel.
- After the guided tour of Machu Picchu, there will be free time in Aguas Calientes to have lunch, explore the town, or visit the hot springs if time permits.
- It is recommended to carry cash for expenses such as food or souvenirs, as some places do not accept cards. There are ATMs in Aguas Calientes, but they have high fees; exchanging money in Cusco is usually more economical.
- Machu Picchu has variable weather, cool mornings and evenings, and hot days in summer. Bring comfortable, breathable clothing, a light jacket, and trekking shoes with good grip for uneven and wet terrain.
Cancellation Policies
- According to the regulations of the Ministry of Culture, tickets for entry to Machu Picchu are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be modified. This means that once purchased, no refund or change of date or name can be requested. If the visitor cannot attend on the assigned date and time, the ticket will be forfeited with no option for compensation or rescheduling.
- Entry to Machu Picchu is subject to specific time slots that must be strictly followed. Visitors must be ready and present at the meeting point at the designated time.
- Tour confirmation for Machu Picchu will be made after checking ticket availability. Since access is limited and tickets sell out months in advance, we ensure availability before confirming your reservation. We recommend booking in advance to guarantee your entry, as Machu Picchu is in high demand and tickets tend to sell out quickly.
- If the client does not show up at the designated time and meeting point, it will be considered a no-show and 100% of the paid amount will be forfeited, with no option for a refund or rescheduling.
- Machu Picchu has strict rules to protect its heritage. It is essential to arrive at the designated time, not touch the structures, and always follow the guide’s instructions. Failure to comply may result in expulsion without a refund.
