  • The weather in Arequipa is sunny and dry, so it’s recommended to bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and light, long-sleeved clothing to protect yourself from the sun. Comfortable sneakers are also recommended.
  • The tour includes short hikes over uneven terrain, especially in the Las Culebrillas canyon. Comfortable, suitable walking shoes are recommended.
  • Arequipa is located at over 2,300 meters above sea level. Although this is not an extreme altitude, some travelers may experience mild symptoms of altitude sickness.
  • The rock paintings and ashlar sculptures are part of the region’s cultural heritage. For their preservation, it is recommended to admire them without touching them and follow the guide’s instructions.

 


 

Cancellation Policies

  • If the passenger cancels their reservation at least 48 hours in advance, a penalty of 50% of the total tour cost will apply.
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours prior to the start of the tour incur a 100% penalty, with no refund.

  • In case of strikes, natural disasters, or other circumstances beyond our control that prevent the tour from taking place, we will be flexible in rescheduling the visit to the most convenient date for the passenger, subject to availability.
  • If the client does not show up at the scheduled time and meeting point, it will be considered a no-show, and 100% of the paid amount will be forfeited, with no option for a refund or rescheduling.
  • By booking the tour, the passenger agrees to all the cancellation policies and terms mentioned, without exceptions.

  • Pick up from your accommodation in downtown Arequipa at 9:00 a.m.

Quarry of cutters

  • Guided tour to learn about the traditional process of extracting and carving ashlar, the city’s emblematic stone.

Añashuayco Ravine

  • Tour of this impressive ravine surrounded by natural ashlar formations and stone sculptures.

Culebrillas Ravine

  • Hike through this narrow canyon of volcanic origin, ideal for appreciating the landscape and rock carvings.

Return to the city

  • Transfer back to the center of Arequipa to finish the tour at approximately 1:30 p.m.
