Tour Plan
8:30 - 10:30am : Pick up from Hotel - Transfer to Tipon
Our tour will start at 8:30 with our guide who will pick us up from our hotel, and then we will go to the South Zone of Cusco for approximately 1 hour, exactly to the Archaeological Park of Tipon.
In Tipon we will have a visit of approximately 1 hour where we can visit different spaces, such as the garden commissioned by order of Wiracocha Inca, and see the impressive Inca hydraulic engineering, such as irrigation canals, fountains, and aqueducts, in the same way, we can observe Inca agricultural terraces and temples where they worshiped the water.
10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.: Tipon - Pikillacta
After visiting the Tipon Archaeological Complex, we will continue towards the south zone, arriving at the Pikillaqta Archaeological Complex, a very interesting place where you can observe the remains of the Wari culture. Pikillacta is characterized as having been an administrative-religious center of the pre-Inca Wari culture, with the perfect urban planning of Rustic construction or Pirkada, which for the time was advanced.
12:00 - 14:30 : Pikillacta - Chapel of Andahuaylillas - Return to Cusco
Finally, we will visit the Church of San Pedro de Andahuaylillas (Sistine Chapel of America), built in the XVII century. Where we will observe the interior Art Works and Paintings of the Cusquenian School, the Altars with Gold Leaf Decorations, and finally the ceiling covered with Casetonados Decorated with Floral Themes and Polychrome Painting.
After visiting this beautiful church, we will return to Cusco for about 1 hour arriving at the Plaza Regocijo at 14:30 approximately.
